Mine Dumps
Old Town
Gem
In the late 1800s and early 1900s the economics of gold mining made it necessary for the miners to high grade the mines. The miners sunk their shafts on the vein and stayed on the veins as much as possible. All of the ore brought to the surface was from the veins with very little country rock. The dumps will make excellent feed stock for a 300 ton per day mill.
